Welcome to AESB!
Welcome to the Associated Engineering Student Body, home to the many student organizations within the College of Engineering at California State University, Long Beach. The AESB represents all of the students in the College to the University and on behalf of the University, awards grant money to the student organizations to further their academic and community work, and seeks to further the professional pursuits of the students in the College. Involvement on campus and in student organizations has been proven time and again to improve retention and overall success among students both in school and in their professional careers; consequently, every student ought to try to be an active member of a student organization that pertains to one's interests or field of study.

On Thursday, November 15, Jake Licht, a Boeing Project Manager will be speaking before EAT at 4:00 in the ECS conference room on the third floor.
After graduating with a Bachelors degree, Jake was accepted into Boeing's IS Rotation Program. The IS Rotation Program offers a wide range of exposure by allowing an employee to work in a different location every six months for a three year period.
During this time Jake completed a Masters degree in Software Management from Carnegie Mellon, the "Harvard Law" of Computer Science schools.
After graduating from the IS rotational Program and Carnegie Mellon Jake went straight into a project management position for the 787 Dreamliner. The 787 is the plane that will define twenty-first century air travel.
I encourage you all to attend Jake's lecture on Thursday, November 15 at 4:00 about Boeing's IS Rotation Program, Carnegie Mellon, and the 787.
