AESB turned out strong for this year's Homecoming Tailgate, held Saturday November 22, 2008 around the Pyramid. The tailgate theme was "49er Days: Fall is Back!" and found numerous Greek organizations and a few student organizations, including our very own AESB, decorating a couple parking spaces to the theme and sporting Beach Pride. We had the Society of Women Engineers, Embedded Applications Technology, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the National Society of Black Engineers, the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and the Society of Automotive Engineers out representing their organizations and 'Engineering at the Beach.' We had the various projects on display, including a Prospector rocket, the turbine engine test platform, the Subaru engine, the Formula 1, the Mini Baja, and the now-famous Pumpkin Launcher! To top it all off, our tailgate setup placed first ahead of the Criminal Justice Student Association and the American Marketing Association. Way to go engineers! |
