CSU Board of Trustees increases CSU tuition by additional 20%
Written by AESB Secretary
Tuesday, 21 July 2009
Today, the California State University Board of Trustees instituted a fee increase of 20%, which comes on the heels of a 10% increase passed just two months ago. This is to mitigate a $584 million deficit in the CSU budget, while allowing many students to stay enrolled at CSU campuses state-wide. Also in place are 2-day-per-month furloughs, unpaid days off, for all employees of the CSU, which save around $292 million toward the total deficit. Please see Meeting Notes, as recorded by Paul M. Nguyen, Secretary of the Associated Engineering Student Body during the webcasted meeting this afternoon.
